Welcome to my June journal. Each month I gather my musings and the stories from the month to document our life. For me it forms a way of creating my own regular gratitude and journaling practice. Journaling can be achievable in small snippets, you don’t need to write long prose to remember your time. I choose to document our memories by taking photos that capture the moments during the month and write notes about the time we have had. There are no rules to journaling. It’s a writing space for you to document in whichever way you choose.

Here is my June journal…

…I’m starting to feel more comfortable with my new body size and how my clothes fit following birth. My shoulders and chest have widened, my hips have too. Tops that used to fit no longer look quite right so I decided to add a few larger sized tops to my wardrobe. I’ve consciously purchased new tops that are timeless and are made from organic cotton from Seasalt.

…I have spent time trying to being more in the moment as our little one, Chloe, says or does something new. I am still so fascinated about how Chloe is learning and growing everyday.

…We went on holiday with friends and family near to Salcombe in Devon. I spent the week in awe of the rolling fields, beautiful beaches and enjoyed some unexpected sunshine that shaped our week. We had great conversations with my friends about life as parents, deep understandings we all had for each other over the weekend blew my mind and we all helped each other. Juno had her first proper sea swim and Chloe had her first time with her feet in the sand and sea too. It was wonderful being on holiday with my parents so that we could share such a lovely time together, we had lovely meals, walks and explored beaches, plus realised how good my Mum and Dad are at skimming stones!

…I’ve started to get into the swing of preparing lots of little options for Chloe’s for food and weaning journey and she seems to be enjoying them.

…It feels like a continual job at the moment as we continue to gradually sort through our home and seeing what still sparks joy. I know that the process will enable us to feel lighter, less cluttered and have space to grow.

…I started visiting nurseries to see where we could send Chloe for my return to work at the end of the year. It has been eye opening and stirred up so many emotions. At the moment I’m going with my gut and seeing how each of the spaces feel and what the people are like.

…We continue to make more switches towards better packaged items, consciously buying seasonal food and using what we have. This month I switched my toner and moisturiser to Neals Yard Rose, I love that they use glass bottles that we can repurpose in our home.

…I’ve had my head in my sketchpad when I can to catch up with business planning and preparation of coaching materials for my clients.
